The Mansion House in Kingston, NY
In 1854 George F. VonBeck built the Mansion House Hotel, hoping to capitalize on Rondout’s location as a stopping-off place for steamboat and stagecoach passengers.1https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rondout,_New_York On lower Broadway, it was opposite the Sampson Opera House, and provided a place for touring performers to stay.
